Late Summer Blooms

The cooler weather starts to creep in and fall seems imminent, but there is still time for late summer blooms to be added to your garden. Before the frosts begin, pop these plants around if you miss the burst of color brought by spring and summer. They may be “late bloomers”, but there is still time to plant and pot with the gratification of a beautifully rich garden view.

Now, you may be familiar with early-season blooms but not as certain about which plants prefer the end-of-summer warmth. Both perennials and annuals remain options depending on whether you prefer temporary blooms or ones that will last year after year. While these plants prefer the later season, they still have their individual needs and requirements to flourish. Walk through our garden with us as we give you a taste of what you can expect to see on your next visit. The summer is ready to wind down, but the colors of the garden only become deeper and more saturated. Like the setting sun, some of the best colors are yet to come.

Whether digging in the dirt or browsing our yard, let us help you set the end-of-summer vibe with our “Late Summer Tunes” playlist on Spotify. Scroll down below to listen along with us and enjoy these last days of summer!

Perennials

Returning year after year, perennials offer years of satisfaction with minimal effort if properly tended to. Even though you may not be thinking of blooms at this point in the season there is still important growth to be done. The plant will instead focus its energy on establishing its root system. Nowhere as extravagant as the bloom show but equally as important.
